Jo Scholes – Chair Jo is currently working as the Admin Officer at Hutton Cranswick CP School, where she is involved in everything from parent queries, first aid, finance and social media. Prior to this she worked as the Corporate Public Relations Manager at City Health Care Partnership CIC, who delivers community health care services across Hull and the East Riding. This position involved a whole raft of communications and engagement activities, from the management of patient surveys and patient groups to dealing with media enquiries and liaising on marketing campaigns.
Jo’s studies took her to Nottingham and Newcastle, returning to her hometown of Driffield in the East Riding of Yorkshire in 1996. She has worked in the areas of community development, regeneration, involvement and participation in and around Hull for a number of years. Jo enjoys singing and keeping fit in her spare time and lives with husband Richard and 3 children, Ben, Matthew and William.
Andy Acum – Trustee Andrew is the managing director of Mercury Energy and Public Sector – a full service marketing and PR agency providing communications services to local government, NHS Trusts and the renewables and energy sectors. Since joining Mercury as a founder member, Andrew has developed a specialism in the management and delivery of communications and consultation campaigns for a variety of large energy infrastructure schemes across the UK, including three successful NSIP consents
Francis Ahiakpa – Trustee Francis is Assistant Chief Executive Officer at the Humber All Nations Alliance, responsible for Finance. He started working at the Humber All Nations Alliance as a Community Development Worker on the Delivery Race Equality Project. For six years he had a duel role as Finance Officer and Project Coordinator for the Delivery Race Equality representing Black Minority Ethnic Groups (BME) around the City of Hull. Before joining Humber All Nations Alliance, he worked at the Haven Project as the Community Integration Worker. He is an ACCA Affiliate Person and holds a MA in Business Administration (Finance Option) from the University of Hull and BA from the University of Ghana in Economics and Statistics.
