Residents - Southcoates East Neighbourhood Management
Neighbourhood Management in Southcoates East has gone a long way to prove that communities can work with local agencies to improve and join-up their services at a neighbourhood level. This has included better management of the local environment, increasing community safety, improving healthcare, a better standard of education and encouraging economic growth in the neighbourhood. The key point is that residents concerns are addressed and are important in defining what is done rather than agencies' assumptions about what should be done.

During resident consultations the main areas of concern were:
- Anti-Social Behaviour
- Fear of Crime
- Housing
- The Environment
Out of these consultations came the ethos for the Neighbourhood Management Strategy.
